Lectures at the Yogyakarta Palace began since the inaugural lecture on March 13, 1946, until 1973 (about 27 years). Lectures for large classes (reaching more than 1,000 students) are held in Siti Hinggil Keraton Yogyakarta with face-to-face methods, lecturers explain using a microphone and whiteboard tools. While to study with fewer participants, lectures were conducted in the insulated space of the Yogyakarta Palace Palace, with a 2-meter high bulkhead that adjusted the number of participants.

In the following year, a new building was built which is now known as Building I, which also consists of only one room. This building functions as Siti Hinggil Keraton for lectures that are general and accommodate a large number of students (100-400 students), as well as for other official events such as seminars and graduations.
